Ancient Civ: Wednesday, December 6

Recap:

  • What we did: Today, we learned about the process of translating, or in this case, decoding. Anthropologists and linguists have to decode what the Ancient Sumerians wrote on clay tablets thousands of years ago.
  • Classwork: We completed a Ancient Sumer Code worksheet (see link below), watched a video on Ancient Writing (link below), and then began work on a Haiku Coding Assignment (see below).
  • Homework: None.
  • If you missed class: Please complete the Ancient Sumer Code worksheet at home and watch the video. We’ll continue working on the Haiku Coding Assignment tomorrow.
