We’re still a few days away from the start of school, but I wanted to take the opportunity to give you a bit of a sneak peek into how we’ll use this site.
Most days, the first thing you’ll do when you get to class is go to this website.
Each morning, I’ll post a Learning Plan here. The Learning Plan will tell you exactly what we’ll be learning about, why it matters, and how we’ll go about learning it. The plan will often also include some extra resources you can use to dig deeper if the topic sparks your interest.
If you happen to be absent one day, you can go to this site to get a sense of what you missed, and maybe even complete the lesson at home.
Here are some other tips:
- You can get to this site by going to MrKaltwasser.com and clicking 6th Ancient History. But there’s an even easier way you can get here: Simply type: Khistory.xyz. (The “K” is for Kaltwasser; the “history” is for, well, history; the “.xyz” is just more fun than “.com”)
- Make sure to tell your parents about this website, and direct them to the Parents tab, where they will find links to various resources they might need.
- Also, your parents can sign up (or sign you up) to get class alerts and reminders through an app called Remind. To sign up, click on the Contact page, and then click on the link for your class.
That’s all for now! I look forward to meeting you soon!
